LEE DREXLER has done countless appraisals of fine arts, silver, furniture,
antiques and jewelry for insurance and estate purposes, for gifts to museums,

She has
been a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers since 1975,
was President of the Hudson Valley-New York Chapter in 1991-1992 and 1997-1998,
belongs to the Appraisers Association of American and is a Gemologist
with G.I.A. Diamond and pearl certificates. She was an Associate Professor
at Hofstra University where she taught "The Appraisal of Fine Arts
and Antiques" and is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who
in American Women and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. She is fluent
in French and speaks Spanish.

LEE
DREXLER has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, discussing
appraisals, antiques and art as an investment, and wrote a syndicated
newspaper column on antiques for the Gannett newspaper chain for six years.
She has lectured at seminars and charitable functions on appraisals and
art investment topics. She helps select art for exhibitions at the National
Arts Club, is a member of its exhibition committee and has been a judge
at many shows. She has served in court as an expert witness. Several Justices
of the New York State Supreme Court have appointed her as a
court appointed expert to appraise tangible personal property in matrimonial
actions and she has appraised jewelry for the Queens County Public Administrator.
She also serves as an art consultant, advising clients on the buying or
selling of fine arts and antiques. She has acted in this capacity for
Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley among others.
LEE
DREXLER graduated from Jackson College, Tufts University and spent
a year in Paris where she studied at both the art museum and the furniture
museum of the Louvre. She successfully completed courses of studies at
the New York School of Interior Design and at the gemological Institute
of America, where she studied colored gemstones and received her Diamond
and Pearl certificates. She also did individual study work at all great
art museums of Europe, including London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp,
Frankfurt, Madrid, Totledo, Rome, Florence, Venice, Dubrovnik, Vienna,
Istanbul, Berlin, Dublin, Edinburgh, Oslo, Copenhagen, Wales, Stockholm,
Iceland, Luxembourg, Geneva, Budapest, Prague, Leninberg and Moscow; in
the Far East at The Hawardi Jade Museum of Hong Kong, the National Museums
of Bangkok, Shanghai and Beijing, the Temples of Changmei in Thailand,
the National Museum of Delhi, Prince Albert Museum of Bombay, the National
Museum of Nepal, the National Museum of Tokyo, Kyoto and Nara, and also
the Archeological and Fine Art Museums of Xian, Peking, Shanghai, New
Zealand, Australia and Nairobi, the archeological ruins of Angor Wat in
Cambodia, The Elora and Ajanta Caves in India, and the archeological museums of Athens, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima, Rio de Janiero and Tel Aviv, at the major art museums of the United States including
the National Gallery of Art and the Hirshhorn Museum of Washington, The
Williamsburg Historical Restoration, the Hearst Mansion, the San Francisco
Art Museum, the Getty Museum of California and the Winterthur Museum of
Delaware.
